The joys of changing diapers (Pamper giveaway)

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Becoming a mother was the scariest moment of my life, though exciting  and overwelming all at once I couldn’t be happier to have Pampers be a large part of both my daughter’s lifes.

With Isabella I had no idea what to expect with each diaper change, if her diapers would leak through the night… Pampers saved us from scary leaks that we had with compitior diapers from our baby shower.  The scary explosions, and I mean explosions while changing diapers… Let’s just say her pretty pink wall was another color.

I have my moments as a mom of two, after having some time off with a potty trained Bella seeing the diapers and wipes come back was scary. As I opened diapers and was taken back with colors and textures. (Who knew you’d look at your child’s poop so hard!)

With Pampers we had no worries no rashes and no leaks. I safely knew she was taking a nap without wetting the bed; that the diaper wasn’t squeezing into her poor little legs.

Thankfully with Elleanna I knew what diapers were perfect, what wipes would do the job and thankfully set up with a diaper genie from my father and step mother. No more running to the outside trashcan for every smelly diaper. Though with the first child I believe I was more organized, prepared with items but not emotionally for the attachment and love that would  instantly hit you like a ton of bricks when you see your baby, hear the cry and hold him or her.

Follow Pampers on Twitter and Facebook, and check out their website for some great information and products!

I am SO excited to offer a new mom a prize pack filled with $100 worth of goodies that includes:

We have a fashionista on our hands: Tutu Amaezing boutique

In exchange for my time and efforts in reporting my opinion within this blog,  the creator of Tutu Amaezing Boutique has provided me with complimentary headband and bows for Elleanna and Isabella. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.

I cannot express how much fashion means to my daughter and I; though I do slack these days as a mom of two girls they take all my time to get ready. I do take my time for work, hair done and of course makeup and make sure my nails look nice; if anyone is like me they are looking at the waitresses hand when serving food. Back to the point though, I found this amazing shop online, TuTu Amaezing Boutique and couldn’t believe all the breath taking bows that this wonderful woman (Desiree) could create. I myself have tried a few times now to make Isabella along with Elleanna and my sisters (Careena and Hailee) bows… But they are basic bows, nothing special now these bows on the other hand took special talent!

After looking over I found many bows from football teams, sports, military, breast cancer awareness to holiday and themed characters such as my children’s favorite FROZEN! The creativity put into each, the special touch and the way she puts her whole heart into her work certainly shows with each bow.

I just had to reach out to Desiree in hopes of doing a review on her bows; I couldn’t image such a wonderful hand made fashion statement as these not having a review already! (Though my hopes were that I’d be the first!) After receiving three (four in total really) bows I knew I would find myself wanting more. I found myself wearing the football bow to work. (Sunday night football go Patriots!!)

My daughters represented our team beyond well with these fantastic pieces for the Patriots… Desiree even created a Patriots headband that was adjustable for Elleanna to wear and grow into.

And of course Frozen, Isabella had a few chances to wear her Frozen bows to school along with Frozen live. Her grandfather and Meme took her along with Careena and Hailee this past week to the show. Isabella’s heart melted, her eyes widened and she said “Mommy you buy me?” when she saw the bows come out of the package. What better treat for Princesses such as my girls then a fashion statements that show so much personality and beauty.

Couldn’t resist sending Isabella off to school with these Frozen Sister bows. (Cannot wait to use one on Elleanna when she gets more hair.)
Before seeing Frozen Live on Ice.

When you think about bows you don’t put much mind into what type of ribbon is being used but with TuTu Amaezing Boutique they use the best there is and each bow, headband and tutu certainly shows that.

How do you dress you girls up for school?

Is there a special bow that they love or maybe that you love?

If not or to add to your collection check out these breath taking bows at

I know we’ve found our special fashion pieces thanks to Tutu Amaezing Boutique.

No guilt in this cookie: Divine Mama cookies

In exchange for my time and efforts in reporting my opinion within this blog,  Divine Mama has provided me with complimentary samples of their Datey Apricot Cashew and Macnut Chocolate Chip lactation cookies. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.

We’ve reached ten months… We’re going… Going strong? Alright maybe not as strong as I would wish, so I’ve reached out to more lactation cookies for mommy’s like myself. Though Elleanna has NEVER and I repeat NEVER had formula, breast is best, I struggle to gain a supply for the freezer. I am not back to work and not knowing how long or short my days will be. I can be three hours one day or even ten hours like this past Friday, the life of a waitress is so mysterious.

DivineMamaDivine Mama was so gracious enough to send a couple samples to try, Macnut Chocolate Chip and Datey Apricot Cashew. A hundred percent all natural with Iron and Calcium in each serving I am pleased.

DivineMama4 Without eating the lactation cookies, downing water after water I found myself only producing enough to feed Elleanna but not pump during or after more than a half ounce. (Ouch on my self esteem!) I find myself wondering what is wrong with me? Is she even getting enough during feedings? Could this be the reason she eats every hour? I’ve been trying to pump on a schedule but I’ve been very naughty about it… One day I did every twenty minute’s next day once in the morning and once at night. So how do we change this?… How do I get my supply up? Though I am aware I need to get a pumping schedule done I will be working on this starting this week.

Here’s the answer! Divine Mama and my favorite thus far with Macnut chocolate chip! You can hardly tell you are eating something healthy, all natural and that will do so many wonders for your supply! I found though I needed water and milk while having this treat and that I could only eat half at a time my energy and supply seemed to increase. I don’t know if I can only eat half due to the fact I fill up on lunch, dinner or water. Maybe even the fact when I do snack I find I need a little of everything; after having just half a serving of this Macnut Chocolate Chip lactation cookie I went to bed… Morning came and 3 ounces pumped! That is 6 times the amount I was previously getting, think about what would happen if I ate the whole cookie.

DivineMama2My snack set up now has become Divine Mama while I begin to add up my supply in the freezer. Though daddy (Geraldo) used my stash up the other day while I was at work… When I said she needed milk I didn’t think he would give her four bottles during my five hours of work.

So here’s to a healthy snack, on the go or in the home Divine Mama and I will be treating ourselves Elleanna to some well deserved and earned milk.

Have you found a lactation cookie or type of food that helps build your supply?
