Teething with Baby Chomp Chomp

In exchange for my time and efforts in reporting my opinion within this blog, the owner of BabyChompchomp has provided me with complimentary teething necklaces and amber necklace for Elleanna. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.

As she digs her nails in I brace myself for the teeth; as a breastfeeding mother I am aware of what is about to happen… Though I find myself stomping my foot down as I’m walking through the store feeding; how the customers around me are unaware of the pain that just went jolting from my ta-ta up my chest and down my entire body. Elleanna sure loves to bite, nothing like her sister Isabella was (though complete opposites with feeding methods).

I hear a cry from the girls bedroom and Isabella holding her finger. “Sissy bit my finger!” she screams out as I enter the room. Gone for just a moment to check on laundry and my girls are already beating each other up or maybe just the youngest is beating her older sister.

As I braid Isabella’s hair for school I see Jaws out of the corner of my eye… Da na.. Da na.. Da na.. OUCH! Elleanna’s at it again, biting anything in sight from toys to mommy’s leg. From being held onto to feeding I find myself waiting for the nails, the bites and the screams when I say “No!”; how do I stop this or how do I at least make it less frequent?

After reading many posts in my breastfeeding group I saw a post from this wonderful woman Jennifer; after further reading that she owns her own business with teething necklaces and many other fashionable items such as amber necklaces I reached out. Jennifer was so kind to offer some items from Baby Chomp Chomp such as two teething necklaces and an amber necklace for Elleanna to try. How my ta-ta’s are relieved!

This beautiful rainbow colored teething necklace known as the Brielle necklace made of 100% food grade silicone BPA free, FDA approved has caught Elleanna’s eyes the most! Jennifer was also kind sending a navy colored Tanner necklace which is made of more of a jeweled shaped 100% food grade silicone also and also Elleanna’s very first cheery amber necklace.

Elleanna’s amber necklace is perfect from the screw on and off snap to the length and how between each stone there is a knot! I’m amazed at the safety that Baby Chomp Chomp has provided while soothing our little ones and making a fashionable statement to motherhood.

If you don’t know much about the amber necklaces I copied a short explanation from the site…

How it works: When a baby is wearing an amber teething necklace, it warms with the body‘s natural temperature, releases healing oils from the amber which are absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.

I am very excited to say that since wearing these teething necklaces Elleanna has cut back on scratching, biting and pinching. With her full attention on these wonderful, colorful and playful necklaces my arms and chest is very grateful.

Looking for a great way to keep baby occupied and soothed I recommend these necklaces!
Photos of Elleanna’s amber necklace while in work are soon to come as soon as I can catch this runner..

How do you keep your little one from pinching, scratching and biting you?

No guilt in this cookie: Divine Mama cookies

In exchange for my time and efforts in reporting my opinion within this blog,  Divine Mama has provided me with complimentary samples of their Datey Apricot Cashew and Macnut Chocolate Chip lactation cookies. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.

We’ve reached ten months… We’re going… Going strong? Alright maybe not as strong as I would wish, so I’ve reached out to more lactation cookies for mommy’s like myself. Though Elleanna has NEVER and I repeat NEVER had formula, breast is best, I struggle to gain a supply for the freezer. I am not back to work and not knowing how long or short my days will be. I can be three hours one day or even ten hours like this past Friday, the life of a waitress is so mysterious.

DivineMamaDivine Mama was so gracious enough to send a couple samples to try, Macnut Chocolate Chip and Datey Apricot Cashew. A hundred percent all natural with Iron and Calcium in each serving I am pleased.

DivineMama4 Without eating the lactation cookies, downing water after water I found myself only producing enough to feed Elleanna but not pump during or after more than a half ounce. (Ouch on my self esteem!) I find myself wondering what is wrong with me? Is she even getting enough during feedings? Could this be the reason she eats every hour? I’ve been trying to pump on a schedule but I’ve been very naughty about it… One day I did every twenty minute’s next day once in the morning and once at night. So how do we change this?… How do I get my supply up? Though I am aware I need to get a pumping schedule done I will be working on this starting this week.

Here’s the answer! Divine Mama and my favorite thus far with Macnut chocolate chip! You can hardly tell you are eating something healthy, all natural and that will do so many wonders for your supply! I found though I needed water and milk while having this treat and that I could only eat half at a time my energy and supply seemed to increase. I don’t know if I can only eat half due to the fact I fill up on lunch, dinner or water. Maybe even the fact when I do snack I find I need a little of everything; after having just half a serving of this Macnut Chocolate Chip lactation cookie I went to bed… Morning came and 3 ounces pumped! That is 6 times the amount I was previously getting, think about what would happen if I ate the whole cookie.

DivineMama2My snack set up now has become Divine Mama while I begin to add up my supply in the freezer. Though daddy (Geraldo) used my stash up the other day while I was at work… When I said she needed milk I didn’t think he would give her four bottles during my five hours of work.

So here’s to a healthy snack, on the go or in the home Divine Mama and I will be treating ourselves Elleanna to some well deserved and earned milk.

Have you found a lactation cookie or type of food that helps build your supply?

Teething Bling: She has her Bling do you?

In exchange for my time and efforts in  participating with the use of Teething Bling jewelry and reporting my opinion within this blog, I have been provided with a complimentary Teething Bling necklace. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.

After The Big Latch on event, which I was introduced to Teething Bling I had to learn more about the jewelry that had caught the eye of my nine month old daughter. Elleanna had become very happy, playing and entertaining herself while feeding along with giving her something to sooth her sore gums from teething. I reached out to Teething Bling to see if Elleanna was attracted to all Teething Bling or just was content for that day.

After receiving the Teething Bling in a light pink, doughnut shape I hadn’t seen Elleanna happier, and Isabella due to the fact she believed now they both have a necklace. Sadly her happiness was popped when Elleanna wanted both. She seemed very please, and the necklaces were very easy for me to wear. Keeping one in my purse for when we went out in-case I forgot to wear one.

I’ve had many outings thus far with the Teething Bling such as to the Maryland State Fair, mall and an interview. Yes I forgot that I had put it on earlier in the morning for Elleanna. (She seems to be going through a biting stage.) Thankfully with these necklaces I am able to keep her happy and my shoulder, arm and chest from being bitten.

teething bling6These amazing teething bling are prefect sizes, 2 by 2 they do not take over your outfit but add a touch of fun, love and color to it. Perfect for my little ones hands to be able to hold it, play and bite; made of federally approved silicone with a break away clasp on silky cord. I have never worn such a comfortable baby product that entertained and soothed my child before. I only wish I could have known about this product when Isabella was a baby, it would have saved my nose, shoulder and arms from bites and scratches.

At nine months and holding strong to breast-feeding, we have found a new friend, Teething Bling. I’m grateful to know that when I am at work daddy (Geraldo) is able to wear them also to sooth or keep her diverted from the fact I am not there. We’ve been pleased with this baby product and hope that our friends, family and readers also look into Teething Bling for their little ones.
