Tell the world we’re coming home!

After our adventure north in Maryland we couldn’t help but feel homesick… The bare trees of the winter, the silent nights coming home when dawn was about to rise. We felt alone, the friends we grew up with, the streets we knew like the back of our hand and the adventures still waiting for us under the warm sun.

We made our minds up by mid February it was time to return to our home… The fun times that wait ahead for our family. The family and friends we missed so much and the opportunity to begin our new life in our old home. Though the heartache of leaving… Watching my sisters growing along side of my daughters… Again I would be away from my father, the tears didn’t begin until the morning of.

As I bite my lip, holding back the many feelings as if again I would no longer be apart of their lives I packed my children up in our car. Geraldo ahead in our uhaul, snacks packed to the rift of each of us. Juices, sodas, apples, chips… Oh goodness were we ready for the long road ahead of us. As we leave in opposite directions I take one final look at the home that helped us get somewhat back on track; I know we aren’t fully on track but we have gotten our foot in the door for our bright future.

We took our time heading home, making pit stops for lunch, bathroom breaks and diaper changes along with an early night at the hotel. We didn’t want to push the girls though we stayed on a schedule some what due to the fact I would begin my transition from Applebee’s to Applebee’s and wanted to get looking for our new home.

My wonderful sister and brother in law helped us out, after arriving during cache ocho we stayed at my grandparents and waited for my inlaws to return. They were so kind to have a room for the girls, Geraldo and I as we began our harshly relastic search for a home. After a couple weeks I found the perfect home, a townhome in a quite neighborhood near the schools. As I walked in the front door I made it my mission… This will be our home.
